Our health system encompasses two hospital locations in Robbinsdale and Maple Grove as well as a network of 25 clinics which includes 13 primary clinics, 6 specialty clinics, 4 urgent care/urgency centers and emergency care offerings covering five counties. About this position
The Senior Systems Analyst provides a leadership role and is an expert in translating business needs into functional requirements, provides oversight of integration among application systems, participating in application selection and design, testing, conversion and implementation milestones. The Senior Systems Analyst performs research and fact-finding to select, develop or modify applications, interfaces or reports. The Senior Systems Analyst works closely between department customers, vendors and other IT staff and may assume a leadership role in analysis sessions, development of specifications, workflow walkthroughs and small projects as assigned. The Senior Systems Analyst will generally focus on one primary area of expertise. Focus areas include, but are not limited to: Application security, clinical data repository, documentation integration, clinical care best practices, Ancillary Department best practices and administrative or business best practices.
Requirements
Education
• BS or BA degree in business, healthcare, information technology/computer science, or a minimum of 7 years of technical systems support or application support.
Experience
Experience • Minimum of 7 years using information technology in daily operations to support technical systems/applications. • Minimum of 7 years experience working in a large, complex healthcare technology environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Organization skills demonstrating the ability to work independently and efficiently. • Participates in and leads cross functional teams and work groups. • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills for process development and problem resolution. • Demonstrated knowledge of database structure and working practice of reporting techniques and tools. • Demonstrated customer service methodology and accountability.
