About this position

Provides administrative support for the department. May include answering phones, greeting and assisting team members, guests or customers, processing customer forms, customer scheduling, managing calendars, data entry, generating and printing reports and other communications.

 

What we’ll expect from you

• Provides general administrative support to department management and staff, which may include scheduling of appointments, managing calendars, taking phone calls, greeting and directing customers, preparing customer rooms or equipment, preparing meeting materials, generating reports and other communications.
• May access and/or update customer records while ensuring HIPAA privacy compliance.
• Demonstrates substantial understanding of the role. Highly productive with very minimal supervision. Seeks improvements to improve existing procedures. May work on complex projects requiring a high degree of initiative, communication and problem solving.
• Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
• The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
• The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list. • Recognizes and complies with legal, regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.
• Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in North Memorial's Corporate Code of Conduct.
• Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties.
• Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication.

Education

• High school graduate or equivalent (i.e. GED) required.   

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

• Minimum of 5 years of administrative support experience required.
• Previous health care experience preferred.
• Experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• For Imaging Only: Minimum of 5 years of customer service experience with ERIP and/or PACS strongly preferred. • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
