About this position
The North Memorial Health System (NMH) Manager of Safety Coordination will be responsible for the alignment/coordination of all safety efforts/processes across the North Memorial Healthcare system (Hospitals, Clinics, Emergency Medical Services/Air Care). They will facilitate collaboration with colleagues with safety management/coordination responsibilities to increase the perception of safety across the organization.
Provides strategic planning, coordination, administrative leadership for the NMH Safety program. Engages in regular communication with colleagues cultivating policy/procedure to ensure tight alignment of Emergency Management, Workplace Violence, Security, Life Safety, Human Resources, Team Member education, Workers Compensation/Team Member Health, Legal/regulatory, Finance/Insurance, Risk Management, Quality and team members across the system about safety activities.
Leads efforts to drive evidence-based, cost effective, safety and preparedness initiatives across the continuum of care. Serves as an internal consultant to address patient and team member safety issues system-wide. Provides leadership in collaborating and implementing total safety initiatives. Ensures compliance with standards and requirements of all accrediting, licensing, and governmental agencies pertaining to safety services.
Work towards decreasing workers compensation claims by identifying the areas for potential improvements and prioritizing prevention and mitigation activities in these areas. Facilitate SMEs to create a collaborative environment for alignment/coordination of all safety efforts/processes across the NMH System
Requirements
Education
• Bachelor's degree in safety management, Healthcare Administration or related field
Experience
• 5 years of related emergency management, safety coordination, risk management or related experience • 3 years in a lead, project management required • health care experience preferred • Experience working in an integrated healthcare system • Has demonstrated experience in analytics • Working knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation • Experience in leading committees and workgroups as well as the administrative work needed • Developing initiatives to reduce risk, injuries • Experience in the management of a project from start to finish • Ability to analyze and understand data at a granular level and then present it in an impactful way to stakeholders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of safety environmental regulations and procedures • Proven experience in healthcare • workplace violence • CMS, DNV/NAIHO, FEMA, OSHA, EPA • Surveys • Safety certifications
Licensure/Certification
• At least one certification in Safety, Emergency Management, Risk, Infection Prevention or Project Management

Salary Range: N23 ($39.83 - $59.74), based on experience
