About this position
Assists with the development and delivery of a wide variety of emergency care training programs to several publics that include MDs and other health professionals, pre-hospital care providers, first responders and individuals in industry.
What we’ll expect from you
• Assists with the development and implementation of course curriculum based on national standards and customer needs. • Coordinates assigned courses to include implementation of appropriate curriculum, securing qualified associate instructors, equipment and all necessary paperwork required by certifiying agencies and EMS Education department. • Provides instruction consistent with adult learning principles. • Assists in cleaning, maintenance/repair and inventory of EMS Education equipment and supplies. • Assists in orientation, training and supervision of associate instructors • Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals. • The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list. • The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list. • Recognizes and complies with legal, regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility. • Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in North Memorial's Corporate Code of Conduct. • Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties. • Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication.

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required • Completion of an accredited Paramedic program preferred • Bachelor's Degree preferred in health care related field
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• 3 years full time equivalency experience in pre-hospital care/EMS/ER experience • 3 years' experience in education/training • Demonstrated education skills including curriculum/program design, facilitation skills and project management abilities. • Education or experience in curriculum design, program development, instruction and adult learning principles required. • Experience in accessing and using technology to support education processes.
Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory
• EMT-B minimum - NMHC Standard • BLS instructor - NMHC Standard • Valid Class D driver's license in state of residency with an acceptable driving record - NMHC Standard
