About this position

To oversee clinical pharmacy practice in specialized areas of North Memorial Medical Center and Hubert Humphrey Cancer Center in accordance with organizational policies, standards of practice of the profession, Regulatory agencies' requirements and State and Federal laws. Plans and implements new clinical programs in support of advancing quality of customer care and cost reduction. Serves as a resource for medical, nursing, and pharmacy staffs.

This position works on-site in Robbinsdale. Interviews for this position will take place in-person or virtually via Microsoft Teams.

What we’ll expect from you

• Provides consultive services to providers, nursing and pharmacy staff
• Acts as a drug information resource to providers, nursing, pharmacy staff and customers
• Develops and implements new clinical pharmacy services
• Develops and conducts target drug programs and drug usage evaluations as needed
• Helps assess the quality and outcomes of clinical pharmacy interventions with Manager/Director
• Develops, implements and documents pharmacist competency assessments with Manager/Director
• Provides education for students, residents, and staff pharmacists
• Serves as a preceptor for students and residents
• Advises the Manager/Director of clinical pharmacy service and program needs
• Helps develop departmental goals, and proposes plans to meet needs and goals
• Participates on organizational committees as needed
• Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
• The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
• The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list. • Recognizes and complies with legal, regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree.   

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

• Hospital experience in the specialized clinical area or completion of a hospital residency preferred.
• Computer and keyboard skill      

Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory

• Licensed by MN State Board of Pharmacy
