About this position
Ensures all assigned facility equipment and areas are operating and maintained in a safe and proper working condition. Operates and provides maintenance services on infrastructure equipment and systems in Stationary Engineering. Monitors multiple systems for operating and alarm conditions and resolves and communicates issues as required.
What we’ll expect from you
• Performs scheduled maintenance testing and calibration of utlilty equipment and facility systems. • Performs repairs of utlilty equipment and facility systems as needed. • Determines the need for and schedules vendor service on utility equipment when necessary. • Provides complete and timely documentation of equipment maintenance activities / work performed in equipment management software program. • Monitors computerized monitoring systems and responds appropriately to adverse conditions and alarms. • Provides effective communication by sharing reliable and complete infomation with others as needed. • Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals. • The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list. • The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list. • Recognizes and complies with legal, regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility. • Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in North Memorial's Corporate Code of Conduct. • Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties. • Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication.

Education
• High school graduate or equivalent (GED). • Completion of a technical degree or certificate program associated with stationary engineering.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Three years' experience with high pressure steam boilers, emergency power generators, heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment, compressors. • Computer literate with Windows software and building management software experience • Must be able to formulate and implement cost effective solutions to various problems in facility and utility maintenance. • Must have good judgment and integrity. • Must demonstrate interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. • Must be able to work as a team member and also have the ability to work independently.
