About this position
Maintains a quality assurance/improvement program designed to monitor and improve the quality of care provided to all age customer populations. Assists in the coordination and maintenance of staff development and education related to quality and compliance with guidelines and quality initiatives. Requires ability to work with mangers in all NMAS regions.
What we’ll expect from you
• Collaborates with the Quality Supervisor to coordinate review process for assigned area as outlined by system process. • Assists with evaluation, analysis and process improvement. • Provides feedback, work plans, other necessary oversight to customer care providers, FTOs, Preceptors, other clerical staff on quality related issues and collaborates with the area manager when related issues require performance improvement. • Reviews customer care related to quality initiatives as necessary in cooperation with Quality Supervisor, Manager or Supervisor in regions. • Reviews quality process data collection and generates reports as needed. • Participates in identification, planning and teaching of continuing education topics as assigned. • Collaborates with the Quality Supervisor, Medical Director and others on the following: Monitoring of various programs related to Quality Assurance/Improvement; Planning and coordination of annual skills; Coordinates the Field Observation and internship programs; Coordinates the maintenance of the ambulance licensing manual; Maintains current personnel roster as outlined by systems standards; Participate in state inspections; Coordinates processes to continuously improve the Field Training Officer (FTO), Preceptor and NMAS orientation programs. • Maintains clinical experience through the delivery or observation of pre-hospital care. • Performs field audits as requested. • Participates in maintaining all staff personnel certification and/or licensure information, education records and/or continuing education files in accordance with established system standards and certifying agencies requirements • Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals. • The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list. • The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.

Education
• Bachelor's Degree in EMS, Nursing, EMS Education, or similarly related field, or four (4) years of experience in an Advanced Life Support Paramedic System required. • RN or EMT-P License.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Minimum of three (3) years ALS experience working as a Paramedic or RN in a pre-hospital EMS setting. • Previous quality assurance experience preferred.
• Experience working with computers required. Prefer experience with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs. • Ability to multi-task. • Proficient in oral and written communication using English language sufficient to perform functions of the position.
Licensure/Certification(s) Mandatory
• Current RN License or state EMT-P license or able to obtain within 30 days of hire, prefer NREMT-P certification - NMHC Standard • Current Class D driver's license in state of residency with acceptable driving record - NMHC Standard
